3rd June 2014 – Johannesburg – MakeMeMobile, specialists in mobile enterprise solutions, announced today the appointment of Andrew Fosbrook as director as of 1st June 2014 to support the growth of the business across South Africa. With over 27 years of experience in automatic identification and mobile computing markets, Fosbrook has founded and grown two of the largest companies in this sector, which were successfully acquired by listed and multinational companies.

Hurn said that the company’s core focus is on delivering cost effective, quick-to-market mobile solutions for their clients using a flexible and robust platform, coupled with the right software, technologies and support to ensure the seamless planning, development and implementation to world-class standards. “A key challenge that we will address across the mobile enterprise market is the efficient management and effective use of mobile technology and devices across the supply chain,” he said.

In the short and medium term, MakeMeMobile’s growth will be in the high demand sectors of the supply chain, which include mobile sales automation, mobile field service, mobile field inspection, mobile delivery, as well as inventory management solutions.

Fosbrook has extensive experience in driving voice-directed solutions in warehouse or distribution centres. “This will be a key driver of the business going forward, as leading retail and FMCG operations worldwide realise the power of this technology to improve worker efficiencies, productivity and profits,” added Fosbrook.

Fosbrook joins the management team at MakeMeMobile, which comprises Jan Hurn, founder member and director of the company in charge of the Johannesburg office, along with Kallie van den Berg, who is director of coastal operations, heading up the Cape Town office. Fosbrook will be situated at the Bedfordview office in Johannesburg.
